Management of the College
The College Administration, led by the Academic Registrar, works with students, academic and support staff to ensure the effective administration of all matters of student recruitment, admissions, enrolment, teaching and assessment timetabling, the recording and processing of marks, student achievement statistics and course approval, monitoring and review. Student support and guidance are also integral parts of College Administration. This newly integrated service is located in Higher Close, and provides the first enquiry point for students and staff on all matters of academic administration. The main desk is accessed from Higher Close Terrace.
The Registry team deals with recruitment, admissions and enrolment of students. Personal information given to the College becomes the official record of your career as a student, so it is very important that the information you give is accurate, and that you let us know if, for example, you change your address. Your record is confidential and will only be disclosed to others with your consent, or where the College has a legal obligation to divulge information. The Data Protection Act gives you right of access to your personal file. Information on students is kept up to date in the College's Student Information System.
The Teachers' team provides administrative support for all courses at Omega. It is the first point of call for any student who has a query related to his or her course. Please contact us to make space booking requests. Students hand in work at the main desk, and collect it from here when it has been marked. Marks are recorded in the Student Information System, so that we can produce transcripts at the end of your period of study. And we also provide information to students on their course and on the College generally, both in handbooks and on the Web.
The College Administration also processes student complaints, academic appeals, student disciplinary cases and issues related to data protection and freedom of information.
