COURSE DESCRIPTION
Hotel and restaurant management is a course directed to all who desire to work or already work in the sphere of hotel or restaurant service. The same like in tourism management, here our students will learn about the tourism and hotel management standards set by the European Union and Republic of Bulgaria. This course however gives one, more specific preparation relating to the different kind of services technology mainly limited to working in a hotel or a restaurant.
For that reason, students of Omega College will have the opportunity to specialize and develop themselves in duties relating to doing front-office, reservations, reception, house-keeping and a restaurant service. The social and psychological aspects learning will help them meeting more easily some of the most popular hotel and restaurant misunderstandings and irregularities in everyday business.
The subject "Hotel and catering" will also develop in our trainees very important skills for furnishing and operating with a material and technical foundation of a hotel or a restaurant, including kitchen operation, warehouse economy, bars and so on. It will let them know more about the standard regulation, concerning the activity "Catering", also more about the commodity dealing of food and drinks, as well as learning about the various alimentary diseases and sanitary and hygienic requirements.
In addition of their training, the program objectives provide students an excellent and firm knowledge in marketing and effective management of a hotel and a restaurant. Furthermore, the disciplines "Strategy & Business policy", "Principles of Micro- and macroeconomics" and "Hospitality Management", will surely "enrich" more and more professionally the future owners and managers in these two business sectors.
After graduating our two-year of study course, students of Omega College could realize themselves as hotel or restaurant managers, receptionists, house-keepers, lobby-bar staff, as hotel or restaurant administrators, or in every single position relating to these two business sectors.
